We are excited to be stocking coffees roasted by our friends at The Barn, Berlin. Awarded best roaster of Europe in 2019, you can’t go wrong. These Single Origin beans are from Colombia and taste of apple, grape, cherry and soft herbs.

Origin: Tolima, Colombia
Roast: Espresso
Producer: Mauricio Lucuara
Altitude: 1900 Meters
Varietal: Caturra, Castillo
Process: Washed

The coffee comes as a whole bean so you can grind it and enjoy a super fresh cup of coffee. Don’t have a grinder at home? If you want us to grind it please email us after your order with the request and also not how you make your coffee so we know how to grind it!

High quality coffee from Tolima comes from small farmers, and so is Los Alpes. Located at the heart of the Andes, our coffee benefits from high elevation and nutritious soil. We are fascinated by this bright coffee that offers hints of cocoa and toffee on the nose. The cup pops with apple, grape, cherry and soft herbs. A long and sweet finish with notes of honey and macadamia.

Los Alpes belongs to Mauricio Lucuaras family since 2008. To improve his coffee qualities, Mauricio attended trainings provided by Cooperatives Cooprocafes & InConexus. It encouraged him to start experimenting, try organic practices, which we particularly are happy to see.

Tolima lies in the Central part of Colombia. There have been some tough decades in Tolima, and people have been affected by the guerilla activities and fighting amongst the notorious group, FARC. Previously it was dangerous to travel in many of the coffee-growing areas, however, this is slowly changing for the better.
