For those of you who don’t know it yet, Sue van Gangeldonk is the local Maastricht artist that designed the face of our much loved Fixed Gear Coffee Logo.

Here we are excited to present the first Art Collaboration between Dutch illustrator Sue van Gageldonk and IRIS. They just released this limited-edition jersey.

IRIS:

“I’m a big fan of Sue’s style, and with style I mean her illustrations AND her style on the bike. Edgy, extraordinary, punk-androgyny or a bit Tim Burtonesque, if you know what I mean?  It’s been great to transfer Sue’s illustrations onto a cycling jersey.

Sue works with various techniques, appreciates traditional mediums and loves to explore new ones, recently she started a tattoo apprenticeship. She is also a bike messenger and rides loads of kilometers in and around her hometown Maastricht. The two prints we’ve used for this jersey are linocut prints. One represents her artistic interpretation of the peloton, the other one (all over the jersey) is a blown-up detail from another lino.

For the IRIS x Sue collab jersey we’ve developed a new, unisex fit. As with all our jerseys, you can expect outstanding technical features and close attention to construction details.”
